Tile Mate easily loops onto keychains or attaches to anything you don't want to lose so you can find it fast. Compatible with Apple iOS and Android devices with Bluetooth 4.0. Contains a battery that is designed to last at least one year while giving you maximum performance. At the end of the year, you can renew your Tile with the reTile program. Head over to PCmag.com for a full review. -johnny_miller

Tile Mate bluetooth tag for tracking items like keys and wallets is showing a new low price at Gamestop.

https://www.gamestop.com/browse?n...mate,28zu0

I could not find any locally, but jcheng8999 on this thread suggested a price match to Target, and using that approach I was able to score a couple without the shipping wait.

It also looks like there's an option to get a 4 pack for $45.97.

Comparable price on Amazon is $24.97 for a single (low of $20.03 CamelCamelCamel), and $64.41 for the 4 pack so it looks like a reasonable deal.

Here's a review showing how this unit compares to the competition in the key finder space.

7-Oct 1pm US Central Update - Tile Mate appears to be out of stock for shipping, but Tile Slim [gamestop.com] is still available for $15.97

4 pack [gamestop.com] is also available locally for $45.97 (YMMV)

Pricematch at Target [target.com] may also be an option.

BEWARE: some are reporting getting empty box for in store and online order. Seal is intact but empty inside.

I have used them for a few years, more so for my pets collars, what i don like is you can't recharge them, Tile likes you to send the old ones back in and you don't get anything for that and before your year is even up they start hounding you about it's time for replacement tiles.... WTF

Repped for letting me know about battery replacement. Not worth it if it only lasts 1 year imo....

The slims are also on sale. Ended up picking up two tiles mates, and one slim for $45 free shipping with code SAVR.
TY, TU

EDIT: Free shipping code is SAVER, not SAVR haha.

Does anyone know what type of range these have? Does it need WiFi or can it run on 3g,4g? I'm think of getting one for my 3 yr old when we go to Disney.

Tile Mate and Slim have a maximum range of 100 ft. Tile Sport and Style increase that to 200 ft. However, as with all wireless technologies, different environments impact the effective range of Bluetooth signals. If your Tile is out of Bluetooth range, you can check its last known location on the app. This information is automatically updated whenever anyone in the Tile community comes within Bluetooth range of your Tile.

They use bluetooth. Basically you connect your phone to it and your phone can find the tag if it's in range (or your tag can find your phone). It finds lost items - or kids - by having everyone with the app automatically look for the tag (if their bluetooth is on and they're in range). I don't know what the success rate is... it may not do what you want it to do.

You don't have to send the old ones back to get the discount on replacements. I kept my 2nd gen Tile (the version before tile mate) activated Nov 2015 and still going strong! I use them for my pets, too. They have helped me so many times I've lost count. Love them.

Too bad you can't pair more than one phone to these.

In a house where multiple people need to find a thing, you can't just rely on the paired phone to be home when searching.

Its to bad you can't toss them on top of a wireless charger like Samsung and Apple has now, just place it on top for awhile and bang ready to go, but I guess Tile would go under
