Looks like you need to slide the tv to a side to mount/unmount it. Not very convenient. Is that what makes it anti-theft? I don't see it ...
Also, tilt control requires a long screwdriver?

Can't you just steal the tv WITH the mount?? The remote apps are very thief-friendly

Yup. The antitheft thing is a silly gimmick imho.

If the thief can rip 4 three inch long wood screws out or the wall without breaking the TV. Or was lucky enough to bring the correct size wrench and take the time to unscrew it with little clearance between the TV and wall... most thieves are in a hurry.

Edit: after reviewing the pics, this mount uses a long, flat bar which slides in from one side to the other, blocking the lower slots that allow the TV to be lifted up and off the brackets. There's a hole for a lock in the end that slides through to keep it in place. It could definitely be defeated with cheap tools, but many burglars are in a hurry and would leave it or just get mad and break it. I have this mount on one of my cheap TVs and the bar is kind of annoying to install because it has to be lined up just right.

The flip up latches on the newer mounts are easier to use, but since TVs are rarely moved it's not a big deal.

How is the quality of a mount like this compared to the ones Costco sells?
