Micro center is having a 4 day sale (Oct 6th - 9th) on Ryzen CPU's. Prices are all before the $30 bundle savings if you also buy a motherboard.

Use a cash back site and price match with Staples(110% price match guarantee) and you can get the price even lower and have the option to shop for real motherboard deals. I just got a 1700X from Staples last night for $254.29 plus an additional 2% cash back which puts me at about $249.20. No tax in my state.

I call BS on this.

I'm for AMD all-the-way, I personally hate Intel. I was giving sound advice on price vs performance, and paying for a whole new system for comparable single-core performance is not very advisable; however, if you want to encode a video or two AND play a game WHILE simultaneously streaming the game, there is no question that Ryzen would be the only reasonable choice.

Actually, Staples price matched online. I was expecting them telling me I had to go to the store to do it. Maybe I got a person that didn't read the fine print. Worth a try right?
