ASUS RT-AC68R AC1900 Wireless Router target ymmv $80

Was seeing if target had the router the other poster wrote about and didn't see it. Saw the ASUS RT-AC68R AC1900 Wireless Router instead on clearance for about $80. Peeled the clearance sticker to see their previous attempt to clear it for $111.

The 68 series is AC1900. The brickseek link you posted is for the AC1750 66R.

I would really like to buy the U or R, but the USB 3.0 issue is a concern for me as it's something I would use. P version supposedly fixes this but it appears only Best Buy sells that version. Problem is that i have Target GC's and Office Depot Rewards that I need to use. For this price though, I can prob tolerate the slow USB transfer speeds.

I was able to get 2. They also had one RT-AC66R AC1750 for $32.98 left.

Good deal since I was about to spend $130 on the 68U, which is the same router.

Anyone know if this router will operate in repeater mode? I know not all of the Asus routers do. Need to use it to get a wifi signal and then have wired devices connected to it use the wifi signal. Thanks!

This router will work in Repeater mode.
The Asus routers that don't have this are usually the low end ones unless they state it specifically like the RT-N12 which is low end.

I picked up one(RT-AC1900) for $48. Not sure if I needed it. I have a Fios Quantum router.

Should I set up my FIOS router in bypass mode and use this? What are the advantages?

Got the last one left in my local area. Brickseek showed it as full price, but it was indeed on clearance for $47.98. Not sure why this deal is thumbed down when the T-Mobile branded refurbished one from Amazon for $50 is front page. Thanks, OP.
