Menard's Link $156.99

Home Depot chat was able to price match it but came out to be a tad bit more expensive due to tax since Menard's doesn't charge tax for CA.

I didn't see this on the Lowe's site.

Total shipped came out to approx. $170

I missed this the last time, going big on the pocket hole jig. Thought about the kreg sets too but opted for this beast.

This is Menards every day price on this. Wait until Menards does another 11 percent rebate for a better price. (I know it's more expensive everywhere else) bottom line though this blows kregs jig out of the water. I highly recommend this jig.
A pocket hole is a pocket hole. This jig automagically sets up to make the hole, but the Kreg doesn't take more than a minute to set up for different thicknesses of stock and most projects don't require any changes once set. But the Kreg can do something which the PC cannot do and that is that the drilling block can be taken to the project piece and clamped in place rather than having to mount the workpiece in the jig.

First time making a purchase with menards. The rebate would have been nice but I have a ton of wood projects that I need a pocket hole jig for. The 11% would have been slick. This is an investment so I hope I don't have any issues with it for the life of it... or me.

When you are making a lot of pocket holes this makes a world of difference. Much better build quality. You are correct about bringing the jig to the piece though. But you can pick up a small jig like that for 20 30 bucks. Unless you have tried both jigs I'd question your judgment on how much less effort this jig is compared to kregs.
I've used both, they both have high quality construction, and they both make comparable holes. The actual drilling of the holes isn't really any different either. The advantage of the PC is easier switching between material thicknesses which saves about half a minute or so over the blue one if that is something that needs to be done.

Well you wont regret it. This is one of my favorite tools. It's nice to see people break from kreg for a better tool. Jeff is a bit off his game with his review.
Not off my game at all. They both provide the exact same results. The PC saves a small amount of setup time which is hardly "blowing the Kreg out of the water", especially when the Kreg has other abilities that the PC lacks.

I have this PC mounted to the bench and a Kreg R3 to take to the project if needed, I think it's the perfect setup.

I ordered this before the rebate period. I emailed menards to see if I can get the rebate even though I ordered before and they sent me a form for a 2 week period before the beginning of this rebate period that qualifies my purchase. So I'm going to mail that in. The only problem with the rebate is that it's a credit for in-store only. So I'll have a menards rebate that doesn't expire that I'll take with me if/when I travel to somewhere there is a menards...
