This is way cheaper. Overall it is comparable but battery life and display quality is not as good as Surface Pro 4.

Was looking at this at Best Buy. Went in because they had the Sammy Notebook 9 Pro open box for $650. Decide to play with the other options including the Surface, Yoga and so in. Trying to have just one windows device to carry I decided the laptop like 2 in 1 was the way to go. Not as light an portable as this type, but still light enough as an always carry device, for me anyway.

Might be worth a look for an open box at that price over this. Might be ditching my chromebook plus at this point too.

Kaby Lake i7, 8gb ram, 256gb storage. Only 1080p, but I'm fine with that.

It's also slightly heavier. The pen tech is significantly worse than the Surface. Don't buy this tablet expecting to use it for art. It's likely okay for notes though

Can we use any third party Wacom AES pen with it?

one thing no one mentioned yet is its completely solid. It uses big heat pipes for cooling, so no fans, no open fan ports to let dust in. Somehow acer (I have never known them to be cutting edge in tech) has managed to make this 2in1 not throttle any worse than the surface pro. Its quite impressive.

I purchased this exact model about 7 months ago refurbished, for the same price as this new one, it has been reliable and solid.

The technology they are using is one of the best passive cooling technologies in the market. In fact the new Alpha detachable tablet which will be released shortly, is a design marvel. Not only they have fitted a Quad Core 8th Gen CPU on it but also MX150 2GB GDDR5 Graphics card as well...all in a detachable 12" tablet.

SSD interface is also slower. Acer has Serial ATA 600, which limits the speed to 600MB/s, while SP4 has PCIe 3.0 which gives close to 1000MB/s.

BTW, this is available for about the same price in Amazon too and is being discussed here: https://slickdeals.net/f/10641696. Anyone knows how to alert mods to merge these two deals?

Going from Acer website, I noticed that it is available in Walmart for $538: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/con....LCDAA.005

Though Amazon is not listed above, they seem to have matched Walmart price by lowering $10 over yesterday.

BTW, does anyone know why the model without stylus is listed at a higher price than this one? See this comparison: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/con....LCDAA.005
