I have this and the evo 212. The h7 is a way better build quality and much easier to install. Just more solid all around.

Worth noting that the Cryorig C7 CPU fan+heatsink (better for mini ITX builds where space is limited) is also on sale at Newegg for $26.99: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Pr...-_-Product

I've been keeping an eye on this cooler recently for my new build. Does anyone know if it has been lower than this, or does it not frequently go on sale? Thanks in advance 😀

I just received mine. It is HUGE! Make sure your case is wide enough.

I bought this CPU cooler within the past couple months and this is the lowest I've seen.

Just ordered Cooler Master 212x yesterday and today this showed up, ugh. Got one anyway, perhaps return the 212x or keep for spare.

This cooler has been going on sale for this price lately, most likely due to the newer LED version that was released recently. You can probably find a used H7 for $20-25 if you look around. I bought a used one and was able to get an AM4 backplate for free from the Cryorig website. I would recommend this over the Hyper 212 simply for the aesthetics.

Bought the r1 ultimate, and was doubtful it would be that much better than the Evo 212, but it dropped my cpu temps by an average of 10°C - 11°C. If this works even half as well as the r1 ultimate, it would still be a better choice than the Evo 212.

So not having direct touch does not hurt it much?

Very good cooler for the price. Using it on an " old " 4690k oc at 4.6ghz with no issue.

If you can save money for a better cooler and are not in a rush I really recommend the kraken x62 (not the same league) but I was able to go silent pc with it and still oc like hell
