Found this in sign in Home Depot today, looks like up to 3 rebates. See attached photos.
Sorry, don't have time to research furthermore - who knows, there might be some catch.

I know at least here in Michigan the only way to get a rebate from your electric company on one of these is to have it professionally installed. Gotta have license number and everything. These are easy to install and you would lose whatever rebate plus more paying for the install. Be curious as what the other rebates entail though.

I know they have the same requirement for attic insulation for example, but that is a different story. Are you sure they require pro install for a thermostat rebate?

ComEd always offers a rebate, as does Nicor, but never seen it this steep of a discount before.

I'll have to call ComEd and find out because this would be a big step to getting my parents on to a Nest system.

you may want to have the Nest Pro installed, because Nest extends their warranty to 5 years if you do, and you will need that warranty in the near future.
I bought a nest installed it myself a little over 5 years ago. At year 2 it failed, Nest offered a new one even though I was just over the warranty period. Now at year 5 it failed again. Called Nest thinking they will be nice enough to cover it. No luck, all I got was a sorry and 20% off anew one at the NEST store.
Luckily I kept my 30 year old mechanical Honeywell thermostat and works like a charm.
I'm not buying a Nest anymore.
Google Nest back plate failure and alot of people are having this problem or eventually will. The circuitry in the back plate does not use durable relays. And no one sells the back plate circuitry by itself, even on ebay people are unlaoding only the front display.

I was a Nest fanboy and liked all the features, but it's just not durable.

You don't need to go to a store. I posted this a month ago and it's still valid:

I would never buy a Nest either. It's like an iPhone of the thermostats
