Save $100 on IKEA's Ektorp sofa on Oct. 11th only.
Cheapest color is "Lofallet Beige" - reg. $379, will be $279.

Description:
Our beloved EKTORP seating has a timeless design and wonderfully thick, comfy cushions. The covers are easy to change, so buy an extra cover - or two, and change according to mood or season.

This seems like a super slick deal for a comfy sofa. It's available in a bunch of standard colors, plus some questionable colors like yellow plaid.

I've had mine since 2007 and it's been great. Not a bad couch for sleeping on either and I'm a little over 6' tall.

The washable/changeable covers are a real lifesaver. Especially if you have pets. Also nice to just go with a new color scheme once in a while. Though, be warned, the replacement covers aren't cheap.

One of the arms broke because people kept sitting on it. Not really the couch's fault. I was able to rebuild it and you can't tell the difference now.

After 4-5 years I had to restuff the cushions. They really lost their shape. But that's an easy and relatively cheap fix. Get dense foam from a craft store, cut it a few inches smaller than the cushions, wrap the foam in cotton batting, and you're good to go.

Get the sofa in the color "Lofallet beige" and the price should be $279. Reg $379.

Ikea usually has a "cheap" color for their covers and currently this is the one.

Lofallet beige Ektorp sofa cover is $29 [ikea.com] (normally $149). Good deal on a spare cover... if you don't mind the color.

This was $299 when my friend got it a few months ago. It was pretty easy to put together, however the fabric underneath the cushions tears very easily as it's a thin white felt. Besides that, it has held up pretty well so far.

Much better than the pull out sofa, where the straps that held the mattress to the frame tore in three days.

Does the spare cover include pillow covers? It's not obvious from the Ikea site.

Can give details on how to rebuild the arms, please.

Quick question: does it have to be bought in store? Or is there a way to buy online? What is the charge for delivery?
