This is routinely rated as one of the best non-stick frying pans. This is the T-fal professional series.

Granted, non-stick frying pans do not last forever, but I generally give them about 2 years or so as long as you take good care of them.

How exactly does one take care of these to make them last?

If you use this pan only for eggs & omelette dishes with a silicone spatula then rinse under hot water and dry with a soft towel it will last for years. I have a nonstick that's probably 20 years old but it's only for eggs and NO scrubbing at all. Even plastic scrubbers ruin nonstick.

As others are saying - if you're looking for something for more than just eggs, I would strongly suggest cast iron instead. Same price as this (Lodge 10.25" is $16 just about everywhere) and it will last a lifetime if you're not stupid with it.

100% agreed. I also have a collection of cast-iron that I use.

This is rated well for it's purpose but it has it's limitations (should not use high heat, no use of any metal or utensils in the pan to ruin the non-stick surface, no stacking cups, metal utensils and other crap on it in the sink)

Take good care of it and it will work well.
