On sale on Amazon for 76.99. Original price is 149.99.

SodaStream Power Metal Sparkling Water Maker Starter Kit, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AXG3...2zbWD8M795

I did a price match and got mine from Bed, Bath and Beyond. Their starter kit comes with a 60L CO2 tank which is a 29.00 value vs. the 9L CO2 tank that the amazon deal has and also came with a 1L bottle instead of a .5L. :-)

Sorry my first post. I added the information. Great deal honestly this is front page worthy for nearly half price.

It comes with a mini-carbonator (9L) that you can exchange at a store for a 60L, and a mail-in rebate for the value of that exchange. Still, not bad.

I've been on the fence about getting one of these for quite some time. I drink a ton of carbonated water so I'm sure it would save me money. I just worry if would end up stashed away and not used frequently. Is this the one to get or is there another model that looks better on the counter if left out?

What is the benefit of having this model, as opposed to the fountain jet?

This one is eectric powered. We have it and it looks super snazzy on my countertop with the stainless steel. You don't have to manually screw the bottle into the machine and pump the carbonation into it like you would with one that is not electronic.

It looks like a very good price for this model. One thing to note is that I don't think it fits the big CO2 canister, so if you're filling it with a paintball canister to save money, it won't fit the bigger one. You'd need to refill it twice as often.

Thanks for the info. So is the main attraction over the other models is that it is real stainless steel? I'll need to check out more pictures/videos

Well I believe the other models do not operate by power so you have to pump the carbonation into the bottle. At least that's how my old one was. This one you just touch a button and it does it for you. I personally really like it.

Thanks for the reply. I'll have to do some more research on these. I don't really care so much if it's powered or not as long as it looks like if it's left out and functions Smilie
