Bought this vise last year for $45, and I love it. Grips strong, and is really well built for the price. Highly recommend.

Thanks for posting. This has been on my list so I can bend one of my Lawnmower wheels back. Had a bunch of points from last week's deal on cabinets. Under $40 shipped. TU!

Speaking of Craftsman vices, did you know if you have one of the older models with a life time warranty and need to replace it, you get one of these with a one year warranty and your life time warranty is gone? My dad's 45 year old vice, when they were built 1/2 anvil and 1/2 vice, needed replaced because the threads finally worn out and it would slip. He got a new one (larger than the one here) and needed to replace it after 2 years, and though my dad and the guy at sears agreed it was a manufacturers defect, it was after that vice's one year warranty.

If anyone has one of the original quality beasts, dont trade them in. Go to a machine shop and have it repaired, or restore it on your own. Lots of sites and videos on how to restore them.

Agreed! I purchased a while back for around $45. The vise is doesn't secure properly where it rotates. No matter how much I tighten it down, there's still play. I'd definitely pass at $60.

For $49 after my rewards points, and free shipping, it's worth the chance of getting a decent one. If not, it's simple enough to drop it back off at my local store. REPs for the OP.

Junk! Bought one last year and after a month took it back...wouldn't tighten down properly. Remember, you get what you pay for
