Hisense TV How To Eject Or Safely Remove USB

585 241 October 9, 2017 at 12:25 AM
Cant find any settings in the menu to eject safely or safely remove and even after turning the tv off and no power to the tv (connected to light switch to turn off and on power to the plug) every time I put my usb back into my computer usb port it says needs to scan for errors etc. I know on my LG I have to eject it 1st, but cant find this setting on Opera TV OS/Hisense TV settings.

anyone know how to do this?

Thanks

I am assuming you have looked around the interface and if it's not there. it probably doesn't exist. Have you tried turning the TV off and then pulling the drive out?

Have you read the manual?

You might want to try a search on AVSforum.

Why do conservative politicians oppose conservation?
Have you ever stopped to think the long-term GOP immigration policy might be to make the United States of America a less desirable place to live than Mexico?

What OS is on your computer?

What file system is the flash drive formatted with (don't know what the TV supports, but FAT32, exFAT and NTFS are all possible.)?

Do you switch inputs back to something other than the flash drive before turning it off?

What is the model of the TV? I pulled up a random model and saw no reference to safely ejecting usb devices.

yeah ive searched all the menu settings, but figured maybe there is an advanced settings or a setting I may have missed/overlooked. I have turned the tv off, turned the power off to the tv even and it doesnt just "eject" the USB stick when you power it down/off.

Windows 10, NTFS and another drive ive dried is FAT32 - both work on the tv. Yeah Ive tried "exiting" the media player to another input and to live TV etc, it doesnt seem to "eject the drive", I also looked up the model of the tv and didnt see anything on the manual or on the net. I just posted here on SD for this ? bc I know a lot of threads have been posted over the last 2-3 years for Hisense tvs and they were popular buys due to super slick low prices, and so I figured someone would have ran into this and figured it out. I searched, read the manual, went through all the settings and didnt find anything.

at this point Im guessing there isnt an eject on Opera OS and its just the way it is, the USB stick always says no errors detected but it only takes once for not ejecting it properly to mess up the drive. ill just have it backed up so if it ever corrupts the usb I have the stuff elsewhere just in case.

Thanks everyone for commenting.

See if the TV will read a drive formatted as exfat
