If I get that, can I pop it out and put it into my Synology NAS which has a 6tb red drive in it? I want to mirror the data though in case of crash.

Is the drive easily identifiable without opening the case?

I have seen several discussions on the 8tb drive, some say they are red, some say they are archive drives... has anyone actually been able to identify the drive inside with out opening it up. I need some 8TB drives, for a new NAS but I do not what archive drives... Once you open it up it's too late..

I do have one of the 8TB units I"ve been unable to Identify what drive it is using and I'd love to find out.
