Pass, go with the great affordable TCL (aka the new vizio) sharp is not the same great company it was back in the days in the early 2000s. All the TVs are now manufactured by China company hisense as of June 2015 when sharp sold em off.. Sharp has exited the manufacturing of TVs in America. June 2017, Sharp sued its American licensee Hisense for damaging the reputation of its brand, seeking an exit from its licensing agreement. Sharp accused the company of producing "shoddily manufactured" televisions under the Sharp name, including products they believed were in violation of U.S. safety standards for electromagnetic radiation, and the subject of deceptive advertising over their quality. Hisense denied that it engaged in these practices, and stated that it planned to defend itself in court and "will continue to manufacture and sell quality televisions under the Sharp licensed brands."

Not sure how this got to FP.

You can pickup the 49" TCL S series from best buy for $360 and it's a better tv. The 55" S series is $400 on a deal.

I've always been wary of Sharp after the issues with the 30 or so used in my office building. Not sure if quality is what it used to be in the 00's.

there are some good reviews on this model. to be honest, good thing with BBY is the return policy, they are not so hard.

if you are referring to HDR, this TV does not support it as per Sharp customer service. otherwise, good value for the size and quality.

In case you don't know, Sharp TVs are not really made by Sharp ( The good old Sharp) nowadays. Quality might be hit or miss. I have a friend owns one running well over 3 years but another friend's died within 1 year.

I was just going to say that. Many brands are made by the same or similar Chinese fabrication companies
