Are these as good as the full canister ones you see at a car wash?

I read the reviews and it seems to be the best for what it is. Might not be has good but paying $2 twice a week at a gas station This is a no brainer for me at least

No, they don't have as much suction due to the small pump and dependence on the 12V power supply, fuse limited to ~10A in many cars. However, they are portable, have pretty good maneuverability around seats and floorboards, and aren't contaminated with whatever gross stuff was in the last person's car. Additionally, if you accidentally suck up a quarter, a small screw, or a wedding ring, you have a pretty good shot at getting it out.

If you have a big shop vac in your garage, you will get way more power, but this is a pretty good solution for most people, and much easier to store. It's a 12V "Dust-Buster" type solution.

Is there anyone actually using this? I have a Black &Decker one, but that's crap, not useful at all.

Bought one for Uber / Lyft. Works alright, not fantastic but not the worst.

not even close, ordered a similar model which had the same equipment, build, and price, and its barely good enough to pick up chips. Don't even bother with dog hair unless its float in the air. This is good for small cleans such as dropping crumbs. The vacuum at stations are more powerful and achieve a better clean.

Also be careful with the tube its not really sealed so if you move it further than the location of the vacuum it pops off. Its not impossible to get it back on, but its a pain to get it in to make it secure.

Every time there is a thread asking about the suction of a car vacuum, people forget that this isn't supposed to be used for an actual thorough cleaning but small dropplings of crumbs here and there. This won't do anything if your car has rocks and small pieces of twigs lying around. The issue with car vacuum's is that they are designed to be small and portable but lack any suction because the motor is not effective enough. You're better off buying a large extension card and buy a $50 house vacuum to clean your car. You'll be using your car vacuum for years before you actually get anything clean.

Bought last time was on here. The plug does NOT fit standard cars. Beware.

I thought its one of those electric hair trimmers with a vac built in. Never use this kind of underpowered vac for anything.
