Was driving on the freeway yesterday and saw a few billboards for BMW 320i leases. Just checked Edmunds price/lease promise and found this deal.

2017 BMW 320i for $266/month and $2,261 total due at signing. MSRP on this car is $36,720. This is for 36 months and 10k miles per year.

I got the 2016 one last November and am paying $280/month with $1,500 down, but was able to use MSDs. BMW leases were great last year but have slowly dropped off, but they seem to be coming back.

Unfortunately BMW no longer does MSDs (multiple security deposits) to bring the monthly down further.

Check the screenshot for more info.

Only get the 320 if all you care about is the badge - even if you debadge the 320 everyone will recognize it by the 1 tail pipe and realize it's owned someone who knows nothing about buying a vehicle.

It's slow, cheap, boring, and cheap looking.
ouch... I have the car and actually love it, especially coming from a hyundai sonata.

Check out what chris harris thinks about it. https://jalopnik.com/let-chris-ha...1514877066

Anything is better than a korean car. Kias and Hyundies are terrible and overhyped. A 320 probably feels like a Tesla already.
I agree. But I got the sonata for $0 down $190/month so it served me well through college

got a sonata hybrid couple of years ago for 21K OTD. Very nice overall, like it better than my accord.

We have a Hyundai Santa Fe that we upgraded to from a Honda Pilot. It is about the same price with way more options, faster, with better fuel economy. The only thing we sacrifice is a little bit of space but our family of 5 has gone to Reno and Montana multiple times with a dog and did not have issues.

apologies for going off topic but so far we like our Santa Fe

It's always best to put little to no money down on a lease. Just roll it into the payments. I know it's more monthly but if something happens to the car you're not out all that money.

After reading this opinion, I went to three of my auto magazines: Autocar, Car and Driver and Road and Track to refresh my memory about the BMW 320. All praised the car as a great companion on a winding road. I appreciate a thread like this that lets me save a little money while enjoying a fine automobile.

Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money on a 328. It should be pretty marginal. $50 or so a month.

The Sonata is actually not a bad car. Otherwise, I completely agree.

You should mention this is for your local dealer in CA and not nationwide.

Korean cars are decent until it's time to sell, resale value and demands for a used Korean car = crap

Edit: wait why are we talking about Korean cars?

The 320i is a decent little car, great starter call if you're on a budget and want something a little prettier than a commuter car
