I guess I would be bummed about leaving one of these in the rain?

I imagine someone banging these with a hammer to remove some concrete. Maybe using the small one to open a paint can

40% off? They have the regular price listed as $2,450. That's 18% off.

Ha! Well, who am I to disagree with their official ad? I guess I'm wrong, it is 40% off after all.

My father-in-law is a semi-retired Japanese carpenter, and he actually tried to give me a set of those last time I was there. They were passed down to him from his father and he lamented the fact that his own son would never use them. I didn't accept them. Maybe I should reconsider...

Those mokume chisels are even more beautiful (and spendy!!!). Pair them with some nice jika-tabi, and could be good for a samurai carpenter Halloween get-up.

Please do... for your children sake. It would be a shame for these to end up in an old bucket at an estate sale .

As to buying new....no way.
