I purchased a tumbler from them during their fire sale of items they had to legally get rid of. It didn't work well at first and got worse to the point where it only kept items cold for a two to four hours and the ice would melt that fast. I tried different lids to no avail.

Looking at reviews on Amazon I saw people with the same color previous model tumblers with the same issues. I purchased that tumbler knowing all sales were final but didn't think I'd get a defective one. I tried contacting them about it and they didn't seem to care.

Go Ozark, it's cheaper by a long shot.

I ordered some of their bigger jugs and have been happy with them. They don't quite perform to my [unrealistic] expectations, but are adequate for the price that was paid. I haven't experienced what you did/are, but the lids won't matter since they're not insulated, sounds like you don't have a good seal in the cup itself which sucks, but there's nothing you can do. .

Generally most would be satisfied with Ozark however I've run into numerous issues where the tops were not sealing with the rim of the bottle. Ozark customer service is non existent since you're just dealing with Walmart basically, so I ended up just returning the bottles. I do remember there was an issue with RTIC tops. One of 2 gaskets were not installed at the factory. RTIC just sent out new caps and extra gaskets. Excellent customer service .

I have quite a few Ozarks and am used to their quality. I shouldn't have even bothered with the RTIC tumbler and just picked up more of their lids during that sale. The lids I am happy with and use them on my Ozarks to help keep cat hair out of my drinks.

Saw the same soft sided bag in an outdoor bazaar in China, one side has RTIC logo, the other Ozark and priced at $15 equivalent USD . Not sure what to make of it but this "technology" is blown so pricing a bag or a tumbler at 40% off is still high imho.

Even with the discount, I'll stick with Ozark. I own 4 x 30oz tumblers for $16 and the product have been awesome. Walmart's return policy is more than sufficient for me.

Couldn't agree more. Got in on a soft sided cooler on the last fire sale and it does not hold ice at all. Worked with their customer service only for them to tell me that I could pay to ship the cooler back to them so they could test it after they had me test it myself and it failed. Their customer service could really care less.

Anecdotal evidence only, but I put 2 bags of ice in my RTIC soft 20 and then left it next to my RTIC hard 65 for 3 days while we were out camping. When I returned to it the ice was all still there. I used it to replenish the big cooler and we were good to go for the rest of the trip. I'd buy another soft sided cooler of theirs in a heartbeat if I had any use for it.

Also, the Ozark soft cooler is a totally different level of quality. Not even close to the RTIC in terms of quality of construction or thickness of insulation. I agree with comments on the good quality of the Ozark tumblers as I have several at home. But the soft coolers just don't compare.

I have lots of tumblers, and for the painted ones, RTIC quality is a step below Ozark Trail. The RTIC (2016 model, haven't tried 2017 yet) feels like an actual paint while the OT feels like a thick powder coat. For plain stainless, they're both great.

It's too bad there are so many exclusions.
