You may want to take "powered" out of the title and description. Those are passive speakers.

This again? lol Where does one come up with the term "powered" car speakers, they don't have on board amplification.

You are right. I had searched a while to figure out "powered"

It says it won't fit my 2010 Subaru WRX STI but it uses 6.5" speakers.. any idea why it says it won't fit?

Maybe depth requirements?

I'm seeing 6.5 inch speakers, not 6x9

Oh true, didn't think about that. Any info on what depth these speakers need?

Probably the depth.

Check out your car forum, there might be some spacers that you can use.

It said the same thing for both of my vehicles, one which has these exact 6.5" speakers installed up front currently. I'd disregard their fitting guide.

So, the website says it won't fit my vehicle whereas Crutchfield says it will.... Interesting

you can get a spacer / adapter for most any or many vehicles. the grille will sit about an inch beyond the mounting surface. some speakers come with the spacer/adapter and look normal.

Smartass response from me, but 90s era Chrysler Infinity systems used powered speakers - there was a tiny amp in each speaker so it required 4 wires per.

The Clarion Full Digital Sound system uses amplifiers built into the mid and subwoofer as well.
