Received this email as a customer and it seemed to be a great deal for the Alexa-enabled version of the ecobee.

"As a Georgia Power customer, you have the opportunity to receive electronic communications from Georgia Power Marketplace.

If you wish to use this service, the provided link will take you to the website of our authorized program implementer, Simple Energy. The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy on that website, https://www.GeorgiaPowerMarketplace.com, will apply."

The rebate details would not load for me in the link but here's what i extracted from my checkout process:
Step 1 of Applying Rebate:
- I certify that I have either residential electric service with Georgia Power or I am installing this device (or devices) into the home served by this account.
- I certify that this home includes a central air conditioner.
- I agree to Georgia Power's smart thermostat residential energy efficiency rebate terms.
Step 2 of Applying Rebate:
- Enter your address to confirm Georgia Power eligibility

Final Price after taxes: $140.49
GA State Tax - $5.16
Fulton County Tax - $4.52
Atlanta Municipal Tax - $1.81

I've heard not so great things about the Alexa integration in the Ecobee4 — essentially, if you already have an Echo [whatever], there is no advantage to getting the Ecobee4.

I ended up getting the Ecobee3 lite (https://www.georgiapowermarketpla...hermostat) and plan to pick up a 2 pack of room sensors and come out at about the same price as the E4 with 1 sensor.

I'm going to get a refurb Ecobee 3 from Ecobee directly - comes with 1 sensor and the # is basically the same as the 4 without Alexa. The Lite loses some functionality like Humidifier/dehumidifier control

Good to know — I couldn't easily find that info on Ecobee's own product pages (had to do some digging on their site).

The ESP issues might be resolved at some point it seems.... but I think the added benefit of Alexa is pretty meh.
