This is a nice drop in price from the previous Frontpage deal in August, when it was $115.

That will depend more on your speakers. Many today are active speakers with a built in amp and processing. You can also get passive speakers that would require a separate amp. There are powered mixers that will work with passive speakers but this isn't one of them.

Good board for a bill. Solid construction and sharp on the mix.

Good deal considering the Innofader Mini is priced at about $100 itself anyway.

Just my opinion, but you can get a Behringer VMX1000 USB on ebay for $200, it is seven channels, lots of extras, and does video control as well.

Excuse me for my newbie-level question -- Does this require a separate amp? (All I know about these machines is the one time I borrowed the Denon MC 4000 from a friend, and that did not need a separate amp.)

TIA.

Unless you want a basic small mixer I'd recommend saving up a little more money and get something like the Pioneer DDJ-SB2 which isnt hard to find on sale for $199

This mixer is a solid unit for scratch artists and turntablists with very little in the way of accidentally triggering anything while doing crab claws or working the faders.
