Some specs:

2560 x 1440 (2K), 1MS (GTG), 144Hz Refresh Rate
HDR support for mind-blowing detail and contrast
1800R Curvature and 178/178 Viewing Angles
FreeSync 2 & Flicker Free Eye Saver Mode
DisplayPort / HDMI x 2
Tilt / Swivel / Pivot / Height Adjustable

IMO 1440p looks best at 27", 32 I'd probably want 4k. Honestly at this point I'm just waiting for a 3440x1440 34" ultrawide, with gsync and 144hz+ refresh.

Is there any reason to go for this monitor given the Agon has similar specs for $400 (full retail)? I've read some reviews but don't really understand monitor technology.

For what applications would either stand out, in terms of gaming and productivity?

I just don't get the curved screens. If you're off center you lose one side.

I mean do you usually have your monitors off centered?

If you use a 1 monitor setup, this shouldnt be an issue.

Picture quality anyone know how it compares against the HP Omen 32"?

It's Samsung VA Quantum Dot display technology. You'll get faster response times and excellent color accuracy. Other than that, not really. This is pretty premium top shelf stuff. Unfortunately, there aren't very many AMD GPUs that will support these kinds of specs for gaming. Maybe their next gen GPUs will deliver the performance gamers are looking for, but until then, this is an expensive purchase. Only Vega 64 will comfortably hit the frame rates you want on a 32" 1440p 144Hz monitor.

This over LG imo. I have the 27inch version which I think is the prime size for 1440p. Hands down one of the best displays all around it is only missing gsync. I have no ghosting, 1 pixel that is kind of stuck but not noticeable, amazing colors that pop, deep blacks etc

There is a channel on YouTube that shows 4k footage , some of it HDR and it looks stunning on this screen. The colors almost look more appealing to look at then real life (Samsung should pay me for promoting)

Coming quarter 4:

Of course I have this 32" monitor and for almost 1/3 of the price I will take this.
It's so pretty, BF1 in HDR is awesome.

BTW Costco members can get this after this price all day long plus the convenience of their return policy. Plus double the warranty.
