I guess it's a given in any Target deal, but it's still worth mentioning that the terms state a 24-month agreement is required. I'm not saying its unexpected or not a good deal, but the post neglects to mention this. Also, unless you are trading in an iPhone 6 (non 's' model, non 'plus or s plus'), it is not a great deal. BUT, since it is one more option, and SD is all about having options for those looking for specific products, it deserves a TU.

I would bite if it's $5 gift card every month instead. The q3 month kills the deal for me. 🤣

considering the iphone deals have been a bust across the board this time, i consider this deal one of the better if not best ones offered.

$200 trade-in for an iPhone 6 (even the 128 GB model I have) is, to the best of my knowledge, about twice what everyone else is offering, so I'm tempted, but I think I'll wait as long as I can to upgrade. Also, I'm still trying to decide between iPhone 8 and iPhone X...

$200 minimum. possibly more based on condition, all original packaging & cables, etc.
its a great offer but tracking stores down with inventory is feast/famine as usual with these.

I see nowhere in the posted T's & C's that says anything other than a straight $200, not $200 minimum. That's why this deal seems to only be decent for iPhone 6 users. FWIW, targettrade-in.com only shows $122.50 for my phone, I assume that's without the offer, and Best Buy will only give me ~$116 but I have a bunch of store credit there.

Exclusively for REDcard holders: • Trade up to the new iPhone 8 or iPhone 8 Plus and get a $200 trade-in value on an iPhone 6 or newer† • Get $120 in Target eGiftCards over the term of your 24-month agreement**

To qualify, guest must complete activation form with Target Tech Representative at a Target store. Target has the right to end this promotion at any time.

Edit: Also, the bolded portion seems to indicate that the $200 can't be used as part of the down payment on the phone, and it also is not specific what form the trade-in value will take. Is it a Target Gift Card (useless to me) or some other type of payment that could then be used to pay down what's owed on the phone, after, of course, the monthly payments are already set. Unless one could also put $200 down payment on their Target Red Card (in addition to the full sales tax) and then use the trade-in value to pay their Red Card?

ReEdit: Target Red Card only allows payments from bank accounts, so unless the trade-in value is paid in cash, even that probably won't work. I suppose one could take the $200 MasterCard/Visa card (if that's the form the trade-in value takes) to their carrier's local office/store and pay some of the phone off that way?
