OP link is for IPS, the one you linked is TN. For less than a hundred more you get significantly better visual quality. And from a real dealer with warranty.

I have this monitor. Its absolutely beast mode when playing all the latest games at 165hz. I use to have the Dell S2716DG which is TN panel. That one was OKAY but this Acer with IPS is just way better. Colors are more accurate and vivid. At this price, it's a no brainer.

Wow this must be some amazing monitor for this price for an IPS 1440p resolution. Seems overpriced shouldn't 4k IPS be at this price or the $300 extra for Gsync?
Refresh rate for that smooth smooth gameplay.

4ms (GTG) response time, is this good for fast-paced gaming? Planning on getting this

I use this monitor and play Overwatch at high Grand Masters and near Top 500 level. It really does help with tracking and smoothness.

Over 100 hz and G-sync is all you need to know when looking for great gaming monitor.

I want the soon to be released x35 but this is less than half of what that other will cost. I don't know if I can justify waiting for the x35 anymore

not sure why somebody would buy this over an overclockable IPS QNIX or similar... 400$ premium for G-SYNC seems excessive.

1440p really is a sweet spot right now. I have the dell that the someone else mentioned. I'm always tempted by this, even though that Dell is really good. Please research the g-sync and 144hz before comparing it to another monitor. It is good to see this monitor dropping in price before BF for a lot of reasons.

Seems like a pretty hefty price premium for gsync I guess? Makes me feel good about my Monoprice 27" IPS Zero-g 1440p 144hz freesync for $150.
Agreed. The mark-up is ridiculous. But now that I have seen it, I can't go back. Gsync is that much better than Freesync - especially when pushing higher resolutions like this where the framerate can drop under 60 at ultra settings. Of course, one could also just spend that $450 on a better GPU where fps never goes under 60...
