Just FYI: Ebay $1.49 unlock code work. CxxxUxxxxxPxx delivery in 16 hours.
Currently using under MetroPCS.

Below is the full list of software been installed in the phone.
FYI, all those non-Qualcomm / Google app can be easily Disable or Uninstall without Root.
Phone is quite responsive if you disable ATT bloatware. Or you can simply "pm uninstall -k --user 0" following app without root.. so you can Factory Reset everything back if you decided to sell the phone. Smilie

BTW, its GPS, Accelerometer, Gyroscope are super responsive! Viewing 360VR film from Youtube with amazing accuracy.

Same price at Walmart (11 cents cheaper, actually). Unlock codes can be found on eBay for about a couple of bucks.

5% cashback at Walmart with Chase Freedom makes it even sweeter

I bought this phone when it first came out this past July while I wait for a deal on a Moto Z Play.

At this price point, the phone is quite good.

I'm basing this on previously using a Nexus 5.

USB-C, fingerprint reader (sometimes flaky), great battery life, decent screen.

Sometimes can notice lag, but that is to be expected at this price point.

It is strange. This is the successor to the ZTE ZMax 2, SD's most beloved budget phone of the past several years.

I know!! That phone was incredibly popular! When it sold out at retailers I sold a bunch of them at over $150! For some reason this one flies below the radar

There's a good reason it's not as popular. The issue with this phone vs. the ZTE Zmax 2 is that AT&T no longer unlocks these phones immediately like it used to do back in the Zmax 2 days. Now that you have to use a gophone for 6 months on their prepaid service before it can be unlocked means the market for any gophone is a fraction of what it was before.

That is indeed a fair point

Also available at Target and AT&T. Target has 5% with Discover (doubles for 1st year card holders) and RedCard. AT&T offers $17.50 cashback on prepaid phones through a certain Bates site.

But unlocks start at a measly $1.50. I honestly hope that isn't dissuading anyone.

Can those unlocks still be used? Or they can't be with the new rules? I was under the impression they could only be used before the 6 months rule came atound
