Banana republic currently has their slim rapid movement jeans on sale as part of a 50% off clearance event. The jeans retail for $118. These are the next step from the popular traveler jeans. They are incredibly comfortable and flexible. I would never pay $118 for jeans but when they are on sale these are my go to. Numerous sizes are available. It states free shipping at $50 but I was able to just select free shipping anyways.

Edit: the price is $46.99

Thanks, I prefer the traveler jeans but promo codes rarely ever apply to those because they are BRPicks...but these feel almost as comfortable.

Are these Rapid Movement jeans the same cut as the chinos? I love those pants.

Got these this weekend for roughly the same price. It was 40% off discount + 10% off for Gap card and came out to be 48.05. These are great jeans. I highly recommend them. I got them in two washes for that price.

I like BR but not sure if their pants are worth the markup. Gap has some cheaper options if you wait for another sale:
* Technical jeans, I'm guessing for biking: http://www.gap.com/browse/product...=790406002
* Nylon chinos, which I'd consider for biking and travel (lightweight, quick dry): http://www.gap.com/browse/product...=529039002

For traveling the BR Rapid Movement jeans don't seem great because they are cotton, unless they are extremely lightweight. What to look for in travel pants: http://www.carryology.com/travel/...ravellers/

Well, stretch jeans are pretty much always at least 90% cotton, with the balance elastane or lycra, as is the case with the rapid movement jeans (and the travelers too). The BR stretch jeans are indeed pretty lightweight. I mean, I don't think I'd go rock climbing in them, but for most day-to-day activities, they're pretty damn comfortable.

No doubt they are great everyday jeans. But I'm just saying there are probably better options for traveling - specifically one-bagging. You can absolutely find nylon/polyester pants with stretch too.

How do these fit? I'm 5'10" 210lbs with fluxuating waist size (34-36) with thick quads. Would you recommend 36 or 34? I hear these jeans are very stretchy.
