I wonder what the write count is.... That is a big factor here. If they were heavily used then IMO they are not worth those prices. If not then it may be a deal Smilie

My Samsung SSD (pros) have a 10yr warranty. Why would I spend almost the same price per gig for a 1yr warranty version?

Of the Drives we tested to play with they only had 60GB worth of writes. Probably just an image of the OS and any SW the computer came with.

The 512GB SM951 is rated at 400TWB

The 512GB PM951 is rated at 219TWB

So calling these used because of 60GB of write would be like calling a car used if you drove it a couple of inches. Smilie These are high end Samsung parts the SM951 is the same thing as the 950 Pro and the PM961 is the predisessor to the 960 Evo and is just a great value on a quality NVMe SSD. Nothing out there near this quality for the price. Also Samsung SSD has a defect rate of less than .03%. https://www.pugetsystems.com/labs...ility-772/

These are great for putting together some higher end systems on a budget.

After the coupon the SM951 is nearly 2/3rds the cost of a retail pro and the pm951 is nearly 2/3rds the price of a 960 evo. It is a quite a savings if you don't care about a 10 year warranty. Today's SSD will be a dime a dozen on eBay by that time. You would probably have trouble giving them away in 10 years.
