I purchased the ASUS PG348Q from Amazon Warehouse in Very Good condition for $830 after sales tax and free prime shipping and the 20% off discount they're doing. When it came it was literally like new with all the wrappings and everything on the monitor. No damages to anything. You just gotta read the Very Good description before you add to cart so you don't get one with scratches. Mine said 5% scratches on back, but no scratches at all.

The x35 must be just around the corner then. I am prepared to pay full price for the x35 because HDR is a technology worth upgrading for. Just sad that my 1080 Ti won't be able to max all games at over 120 frames for long.

I too am waiting for the X35. Hope they don't have the issues they had when the first X34s came out, though. Will try to wait for first adopters to raise any quality concerns/issues.

Why do you think the x35 is just around the corner? These random sales pop up from time to time.

I think the prices on these thinks are still a mockery.

I was just at Costco over lunch. There was a great looking 4K, 120hz, curved 49" display for $499. Everyday price. Looked fantastic, but probably too big for a monitor.

Stupid that these monitors haven't dropped more in price than they have.

My next monitor will be 38" ultra wide or 43" ultra wide --- if available - not 34 or 35". The 34 or 35 are too small vertically IMO. 34 and 35 are like a 27" 1440p monitor in vertical height. I've used 30 and 32" 16x9 monitors for the last 4 years. Not going back to smaller vertical real estate voluntarily.

Waiting for the X35 too, I've been reading about them and it won't likely come out until Q2 2018. The X27 is also delayed, possible with due to problems with the same technology.

That being said it's the next big thing, having 200hz, HDR, Quantom dots, and G-sync all in 1 panel. I fear my 1080 Ti won't be able to max the settings too, but now we have 200 fps to deal with Wink At least I can get that in CSGO or Overwatch.

Btw, I tried the X34 a few months ago back when it was selling for $999 at microcenter, and I didn't have to pay tax. It had some several major problems, 1st it was the back light bleed, which was an absolute disaster. 2nd was horizontal scan lines at 100 hz OC. 3rd was dead pixels. I returned it after 1 week and stuck to my Z35P, which is definitely not perfect in its own way (VA vs IPS), but for everything else it does its job. I would try to get a refurbed or used Z35P at this point rather than a X34 or the Asus variant.

I already have a 34" ultrawide.. Curious if anyone on here has two 34" on one desk, somehow stacked vertically with a special display mount? Probably overkill but I could actually use more screen real estate.

Big reason these are so expensive is the GSync chip.

what display were you looking at at costco thats 4k 120hz for 499? on a lot of the TV's have misrepresentations of refresh rate so that they can make it seem like its a higher than it is. they typically call it something like 'motionrate' or something like that and its usually 2-4 times the actual refresh rate.

Yup unfortunate Nvidia tax. I can only imagine what Archaea would pay for a 38 or 43 inch ultra wide with GSync....
