Cheap and simple, 2200mah for $1.50 at most stores with some cheaper here and there. Their 5000mah one has been working well for me since I got it on clearance.

Here are the details on the 18650 cell inside the 2200 mah charger. Chinese cell? Yes, but it's not a no-name and the capacity is good. I'm impressed.

Great Power 2200 mAH
Nominal Voltage 3.7 V
Max Voltage 4.2 V
Max Discharge 4.0 A
Spec sheet: http://www.greatpowerbattery.com....00mAh).pdf

Capacity according to my tests. Discharge at 1 A, 3.2 V cut-off: 2399 mAH.

Is it a protected cell? It's hard to tell from the picture
No it's not a protected cell. The usb charging board provides the protection.

Thanks, thats what I figured. Makes sense since it's a cheap cell in a battery pack

Grabbed the last one in stock at my local wal-mart (happy valley az) but they had some of the larger ones on sale for $4.97 as well, double the power as the $1.50 ones. Not as slick.

Found mine in the automotive section, near the audio equipment..

The larger model was located in automotive of all places, this one might be as well. Or you could just do online order - pick up like I did
Thanks, that's exactly where I found it. Automotive accessories ($1.50) Eastlake, Ohio

Walmart said my store was out of stock but there were at least a dozen in the auto section.

I bought 4 as stocking stuffers.

I couldn't find a link, but the 5000mah White ones are $4, and have a built-in lightning cable & a second port for any usb.

Grabbed one - that's pretty killer, considering even a crap eBay lightning cable is ~ half that.

Don't waste your time or money guys, got two of these for about 3$ each from the same brand and same amount of mah.....and they didn't even work for either our iPhones, Samsung notes, or iPad mini. Had to return them.

ratings are at 3v~, boost circuit to usb takes a good chunk off that already low number.
