Thumbs down is for the seller and not the light. It's a great light but ordering from Gearbest just isn't worth the hassle.

Got this light from previous GB deal. Crazy bright. Wear UV blocking lenses to protect your eyes while using. Test your lens by shining the light through lens. If objects don't glow, your lens blocks the uv.

In normal interior daytime lighting, my light causes objects 20-30' away to glow brightly, not blue, just pure phosphorescence, or whatever it's called. Items without that property remain unilluminated.

This thing is WAY brighter than those other multiple LED UV lights sold for similar price.

I have over twenty orders in with Gearbest and everyone has been fulfilled. Some surprisingly fast and some ridiculously slow but all have been fulfilled. I have only used the upgraded shipping a couple of times and the vast majority of the orders were just the standard shipping.

My experience is the exact opposite of the tales I see here on SD. I just can't help thinking many of these bad service stories are from very impatient people that are not willing to wait out the often quite slow shipping time on stuff coming on a boat from China. I have had orders take a couple of days more than two months and others in about three weeks. If you file a claim for a lost package before 45 days they are going to give you the runaround. Many orders get held in customs for weeks and the shipping is damn slow, patience is required. That's the bargain you make for the rock bottom pricing.

The one and only time I did have to use customer service, while a slow back and forth process, the resolution was adequate.

I really just can't help think these tales are coming from people that two weeks in are getting edgy for their package and contacting support or Paypal for a resolution. It's not going to happen, if that is the case, you are going to have to wait the 45 day period for an order to be considered lost. I may be wrong but notice the loudest screamers seldom list any specifics or timeframes as to what happens with their orders.

BTW If you consider letting a company keep your $10 out of anger and frustration you may want to not be on SD. I can assure you I'd get my ten back if it does ever happen that I don't receive and order.

All that being said I wouldn't ever consider any large purchases and only use Chinese merchants for small nerdy gadgets such as this light. If you buy a phone or tablet expect very little support if something goes wrong. You are dealing with a company half a world away.

I dont know what light you're talking about, but it isn't this one. Five feet is more like it.
