Amazon has the Philips XL AirFryer for $229. According to CamelCamelCamel this is the lowest it's been on Amazon.

Philips XL Airfryer, The Original Airfryer, Fry Healthy with 75% Less Fat, Black, HD9240/94 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TR78...4zbDEAEKR9

If you have Amex rewards offer available to you, you can use that to get another 20% off the Amazon price. That equates to another $46 savings. Details on that can be found:
https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/fp/325424

Discover cash back members can get 5% cash back for the remainder of the year from Amazon if you don't qualify for the AMEX offer.

This was posted from the mobile app so I apologize if this posting is messed up or missing a product picture.

Even tho the Philips was the first to come out w/ the Air Fryer for general public consumption, it's still over priced RELATIVE to its competition such as Go Wise et al. Yes, it's still a very good machine but now that their r&d has long been recovered, they still feel they can get a more than premium price. The same machine/different brand can be bought (in this larger size) for approx. $125 on special. I paid $110- at the beginning of this year on Amazon.

YMMV but do consider getting an air fryer - they're great !

I agree with all of this. The AirFryer crowd usually agrees that the Philips outperforms the competition, but not drastically. Like you mentioned there are several cheaper alternatives that do work well. I posted this mostly for the people that may specifically be looking for the Philips XL AirFryer.

I tried to word my response so as not to thread-crap as the Philips is still considered the Lexus of air fryers and one can't go wrong with their designs/features if willing to pay the additional costs/markups. I'd almost equate it to buying an Apple tablet whereby one pays a premium for the perceived state of the art features, however, that is the very reason Apple's been such a profitable success as people ARE willing to pay the highly inflated markup in order to have the latest and greatest in technology.
