To clarify, the Frys listing says this is for the Ring Doorbell 2, and not only with promo code is it $169, but they also are running the "Frys pays the tax" special, so there would be no tax either. It doesn't seem to include the free year of cloud service, however. That's a $30 value, but this deal + no tax is better.

NOTE: The listing is confusing because the details claim only 720p which is the specifications of the 1st Ring Doorbell. Ring Doorbell 2 should be 1080p. I'm going to order and pick up in store and see if it really is a 2.

I get The Promo Code entered is either invalid or does not apply to any item in your cart.
Got one shipped, thx OP! Had to use the code I received from their email, might be unique. Are you able to confirm it'sthe ring2? Model number listed shows as ring2 in Google but fry's can be hit or miss. What are we loosing in terms of functionality by not using the cloud service? Storage of previous video only?

Just picked up in store, confirmed it's the Ring Doorbell 2 with 1080p! $169 out the door in Bay Area, CA.

Without cloud service you just get notifications of motion and door press, maybe a few hours of clips I believe. Cloud service provides cloud storage for recorded video clips for 60 days.

Great news thx!
Did some reading and ring2 features are very similar to the ringpro minus silent ring and zone but ring2 offers both wired and removable battery options.. The interesting part is integration with Alexa hopefully they will keep improving so that Alexa can ring or alert when motion is detected.
