Totally bizarre aspect ratio of 32:9. Normal ultrawide monitors are 21:9. This is a very niche product.

it's half a 4k TV, for double the price.
Freesync is overrated.

1.Buy a curved 4k TV with half the price.
2.Cover the top half part with black tape.
3. Plug in and you get this amazing 32:9 experience

This is the latest display tech for a Samsung monitor. Yea, the aspect ratio is super weird and the screen is rather large, but it looks incredible for a monitor.

This is a huge price drop on this monitor, but I have to agree with the other people in this thread that this is kind of a weird resolution and overpriced for what it is.

I run 3 monitors on my gaming rig in Nvidia Surround landscape @ 5760x1080 and had a monitor die on me 2 weeks ago. I went into microcenter to try to find the closest match to replace my single dead monitor and the sales associate tried to talk me into this monitor at the $1499 price. I have to admit it's quite the sight - it's so big that they have it on its own the next aisle over from all of the other ultrawides on a huge shelf because no other monitors will fit next to it. It's comically large, but I didn't look much into it because it was way out of my budget and I wanted to stick with the 3 individual panels because I have a nice WSGF ultimate monitor stand for them. The fact that this thing is 3840x1080 is really bizarre to me.

Personally, I'd buy the Dell 34" ultrawide they have at $649.00 right now over this, and that's what my wife picked up for her gaming PC. 3840x1440 on that screen looks really nice. I'd be interested to see what these things end up dropping to when they end up on clearance at some point.

Agreed with the comments that this is a bizarre resolution. It would have been awesome in 2014.

For those that don't follow the gaming monitor market, Asus and Acer will both have a 35" 34x14 resolution curved monitor that does 200 Hz with G-Sync "soon." I think it has been pushed to early 2018. That will likely be the ultimate gaming monitor

Equivalent to 2 1080P displays without the bezzle.

Should be disconnected soon enough...

It's the same pixel size as a 1920x1080 27" monitor. So two of those, side by side, no bezel, $999.

Sorry, but I'll take MMMuzzy's advice.
