A few things that I see:

1. Don't forget to clip the 5X everyday points to your card. In the past we've been able to get 9X the points by scanning the in-ad coupon and having the clip-to card coupon.

2. If you got the $0.25/1 Black Forest tear pad coupons ( a year or so ago), dig them out for a $0.25 MM on the FARR candy.

3. There will be a BOGO speed stick coupon in Sunday's paper so depending on how the register/cashier handles the BOGO coupon with the BOGO50% pricing, these should be close to free after points or a MM. And since this is a points deal for buying 2 (as opposed to WYS $$), you can pay with points and still get the points. Or - just use your Black Forest/Candy RRs to pay and add this to a transaction of $10 or more and you'll get the 9X points for spending $10 too! Also - deodorant counts towards the Beauty Club points.

Questions for the experts...

1) I have the 5X wys $10 clipped on my card. I also have 20X points on Beauty and Personal Care clipped on my card. How will those two interact? And if I have them scan the in-ad coupon, then what happens?

2) I have a $2 off Maybelline eye and a $2 off Maybelline shadow or liner clipped. Do they work together to take $4 off one item? And if I buy 2 shadows, do I get $4 off each or just $4 off one of them?

I'm sure for some of you, these are very basic questions, but I pretty much took myself out of the WG game a few years ago and have dabbled only with the easiest of deals since then. I'm not looking to get back in, per se, but I do have more time to address deals when they might really be worthwhile.

TIA for any help you can provide.

If that is the 20X Beauty coupon that you got when you joined Beauty Rewards, then is a one shot deal that you've likely already used. But, due to some kind of bug in their system, it stays on your card forever.

We've found that most of the points coupons still overlap, in particular the offers that appear as both a load-to-card and print coupon on the ad (like the 5X this week).

As for the Maybelline, load-to-card IVCs take off of each item. Loaded MQs don't. Duplicate IVCs for the same thing .... I would think you only get one, but not sure there.

Quarter coupon at least pays the tax!

as long as there's an on sale tag, it'll print.

TY for the thought, the Trolli candy that would count for this is on sale for 2.79 each or $2 each (MB2). Some of the Black Forest candy is on sale for 1.99 but I just bought a bag of organic Black Forest hard candy, paid the 1.99 plus tax and no cat printed. No worries, we needed some hard candy at home anyway.

They really don't want my area to have access to this deal. Mad

I tried to buy 4 Speedstick Overtime $4.19 b1g1 50% off
The store cashier wrote $2.09 & $1.69 on the Q's. (not sure where she got $1.69?) & was about to put Q's thru for those amounts.
I said, wait, what are you doing & she said it is store policy to give the cheaper item for free.
I said Q should come off the first, higher product price, not the lower second price in any sale, like it would in a B1G1 sale w/ one Q. Store ass. manager stepped up to say no, it has always been the store policy to give the lower priced item for free. I declined to buy them & received my coupons back with prices written in & marked out. in black sharpie. Frown
If she had gone with 1 higher price & 1 lower price on the Q's , I would have taken that.

Any good argument for how coupons should be applied? I know these Speedstick Q's would have auto deducted & if store wanted to put them through for another amount that was fair, I would have been open to that. tia

I'm not sure what Walgreens policy actually is. but I did used to be a cashier for another retailer and what I'd do for the customer was go by the "up to $x.xx" value on those coupons. if that value would cover the higher priced item in a bogo 50% sale then why not give it to the customer for that amount off their purchase? the store is being paid the same amount of money, it doesn't matter by who. you're buying 2 of the items at the same retail value, so the mfg pays for the value of one and the store discount goes to the other. that's just my personal opinion on it.
