Its long history as a Portuguese colony prior to 1961 is evident in its preserved 17th-century churches and the area's tropical spice plantations. Goa is a heavenly destination full of foreigners from Europe. Known heavily for its own psychedelic trance culture and the beaches.

Insanely HOT! At that time of the year in most of India. So you better enjoy that if you pull the trigger on this one ...

It will be really hot in April and I say that as someone who grew up in India. I went there at the end of February once and I was baked in sun. Certainly check out the weather before you pull the trigger.

By end of March, most foreigners have left Goa, and by April, the humidity is so intense (and inescapable) that it's clear why. The sea also becomes warm enough that it's no longer so refreshing to swim.

If you want to go to India around April-May I'd suggest going to the north, where the temperatures are cooler at elevation (still hot during the day, but not unbearably so).
