Looks like this popular deal is back. Here's the last thread.

$1296.96 - Regular price
-$100.00 - Discount
-$100.00 - MIR
------------
$1099.96 - Total after rebate I had to pay tax

I picked one up the last time this was on sale. Great deal.

- Intel 7700K overclocked to 4.5Ghz
- MSI Armor OC 8G GTX 1070
- MSI Z270 SLI Plus Motherboard (non standard BIOS with some features disabled but looks like someone has managed to get the retail BIOS on it in the last thread)
- 16GB SK Hynix DDR4 2400
- 512GB M.2 NVMe SSD (mine came with 2x Intel 600P 256GB in RAID0)
- 500W Silver PSU (mine came with an 850W Platinum more below)
- Intel Wifi, Bluetooth 4.2, Windows 10, DVDRW drive, Keyboard + Mouse

There are two version of this: one with the 1070 + 500W Silver PSU and one with a 1080 + Delta 850w Platinum PSU.

The 1080 one can be found here [microcenter.com]. It's also on sale for $1299.96 after discount and rebate.

When I peeled off the UPC sticker for the rebate there was another sticker underneath it that appeared to be for the 1080 version. I think the reason I have 2x SSDs and an 850w PSU is they used the 1080 build and just put a 1070 in it. Good deal either way but the 850w PSU is icing on the cake.

2 months after I purchased, the mobo went out. Had to happen on the weekend when their tech support is closed. Would not have purchased if I had foresight

I still like my 1150 price for a prebuilt that included a GTX 1080 but no SSD during this year's May.

What's sketchy about it? I think they locked it down so people don't kill their CPUs. It comes overclocked out of the box and in the other thread someone said they were able to overclock in Windows. I don't need to overclock it so I'm not bothered by it. So far it's handled everything I've thrown at it gaming wise. When I'm not gaming it's mining. The CPU and the 1070 have been mining 24/7 since I got it. It's been super stable and surprisingly quiet. I have a 1080 Ti on the way. Going to put that in and keep the 1070 for mining. Will report back if I have any issues with multiple GPUs.

I haven't purchased a premade system in a loooong time. I added up the cost of everything and I didn't think I could have built a 7700K/1070 system for less. I would have chosen even better parts and spent a lot more. The part selection here isn't the best but it's generally the right idea and it's definitely not a Dell or anything like that.

This computer makes me feel like Shallow Hal before he found out that true beauty lies within.

I purchased one a 2 weeks ago off ebay... exact same configuration and exact same price. I didn't have an HDD, but that allowed me to buy the drive I wanted. So far this is a solid system. Super quiet too!

Been mining pretty hard on this computer with the CPU, the 1070, and an EVGA 1080 TI SC2 that I recently added. So far this thing has been nothing but solid. PSU has been running everything just fine.

Unfortunately this case doesn't have room for 3 GPUs despite the motherboard having 3x slots. I'll probably have to transplant the system into a larger case. If there's one complaint I have about this system it's the case. It's small and light but also cheap and flimsy. And the PCI slot covers are not the screw in type. They're the type you twist back and forth until they break off.
