I guess if you want bluetooth and like lots of settings (that you will never change once you find the one you like), this is a good deal. On the other hand, it's essentially a sonicare hx6631/02 which you can buy for $69 (AR) on sale at Kohl's or Costco usually has a deal on Sonicares.

Do you really need to track your toothbrushing using Bluetooth?

This is a good deal. It is $130 off after the coupon and comes with 8 brush heads, which by itself is another huge future saving.

I agree with the idea of different settings and latest Bluetooth are just gimmicks but the only thing that stands out is

Removes up to 10x more plaque

I've used from 6x to the more expensive 10x models over the years. I had to returned the 3 series because it feels much weaker in the mouth compare to the 10x models.

same brushing mechanism. zero difference in the quality of the brush as long as you have any of the flexcare or diamondcard handles. They all use the same heads. Same intensity. The different "programs" are totally gimics and unless you have some weird situation like ultra-ultra-sensitive gums you don't need it and will just send up using the standard setting anway. I don't even know what the bluetooth does but I can pretty much already tell you that it's worthless. You can get a new handle/charger on ebay for ~30-50 for the same final result.

It is a very expensive toothbrush. I still cannot get the point of bluetooth applications.

But, it is a deep discount if you stack the Amex coupon. Maybe it is an ideal Christmas gift considering the tag price.

My conclusion: SDers, be smart, do not be fooled by some manufacturers.

For those wondering this is exactly the same as a diamondclean. Except this is more expensive because it is a limited edition blue and it comes with 8 instead of 3 brush heads. The Bluetooth feature allows you to connect it with your phone and use the app and it will show you which spot you havent brushed very good or which spot you have brushed good. This feature will only work the with new diamondclean/plaque control Bluetooth variant brush heads and no other currently existing brush head.

No way the brush can tell how you brushed.....maybe it can tell how long you brushed a quadrant but I, for one, vary between doing top right front and back as a quadrant and all top as a quadrant. But is pretty much a gimmick in this application. Do you need a glass charger....really? If you like this version, you'll love the kitchen blenders with 21 speeds Smilie. Remember, this brush uses the same heads as the series 3....same batteries, same travel case, etc.

Scroll down. It does it on 2 ways. And the Bluetooth does 3 things according to the description. It tells you if you are scrubbing too fast and if you are putting too much or too little pressure. And the last thing it does is tell you if the brush head is ready for replacement. This is from the description. I don't own one.

Smart Source rebate says "May not be combined with other offers or manufacturer's coupon" so YMMV
