No good for me since I would get motion sick, but a good price for road trips Smilie

Looks to be about 36% off MSRP

I mean... Could just use any car charger that can use usb-c from the USB ports or an adapter for a few dollars. One could spend this amount and get a usb-c car charger with multiple ports and cable. Nothing special about this other than a logo.

It's probably easier for Nintendo to endorse a car charger that's allegedly compatible with the Switch for those who're less informed.

more than a few dollars. I believe you would need a car charger that does usb-pd, otherwise it would charge too slow.

This charger would charge the same speed as any other 5v/3a USB C charger. USB pd is only needed for more than 5v

I'm using a usb-c charger now because a standard one was too slow. It wasn't any cheaper than this. You should also be able to charge modern androids with this too.

USB PD is well worth spending a few extras dollars on. Just search 63w car charger and you'll find a number of brands selling a charger that has a 3x more powerful USB port (can even run a docked switch or USB C laptop) plus a QC 3.0 port for phone charging. For example: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0711BK418

Thanks I'm actually going to grab this for my phone. It's hard to find a good USB C charger for the car that is reliable for around this price.

Most USB C car chargers cannot do 5v/3a.

For example, when you search USB C car charger on Amazon, the first hit only does 2.1a.

Is it common for vehicles to have cigarette sockets fused for much more than 20 watts?

Any USB car charger is 2.4A ... don't let them fool you. USB C can be 3A ... if they're not lying about it.

http://www.nintendolife.com/forum...mendations

The AC charger that comes with the Switch is a 2.6A

To get 3A, you would need a car charger with a USB-C out, like this one;
