When I view the PT-M95 (deal posted here) on Amazon, scrolling down half way there's a comparison of it with a few others, including the PT-H110. Looks like the H110 has a few more things to offer (fonts, frames, symbols), uses different tape (laminated), and can save 15 labels in memory. Otherwise didn't see anything else that stuck out. If the H110 is sometimes offered for $10 too, then may be worth the wait if you're interested in those features.

It says it includes a starter tape? That sounds like it is smaller than what you would buy for a refill.

Can anyone confirm the length of tape included with this? I couldn't find anything.

Office Depot description says starter tape is 4 meters long (about half the length of the regular refill).

OP's PT-M95 label maker uses the old style M-series label tape which is not laminated so the thermally transferred print (ink, usually black) is exposed on the surface of the tape.

The current Brother "TZe" series label tape (which has been around since at least 2006 per Amazon listing's "date first available") has a clear protective layer covering the black print and base label tape to protect it from scratch/rub/wear. Standard price for genuine Brother TZe is around $12+ each, vs. $6-7 for Brother "M"-series tape or competitor Dymo "D1" tape (which is also unlaminated), but generic laminated TZe tape is widely available, well reviewed on Amazon and comparably priced as the other 2 unlaminated tapes (under $4 in quantity for generic). I'd consider getting a TZe series label maker if you value durability.

Price for TZe label makers: PT-H110 compact [single-]handheld model which goes on sale for $10 at Staples and Amazon quite often. The larger size Brother PT-D210 goes for $20 occasionally (including a week or two ago on Staples which Amazon also price matched). These newer model designs tend to have more fonts, label memory storage than old M-series models.

Personally I bought the (unlaminated D1) Dymo LabelManager 280 last week because I want PC connectivity (true WYSIWYG, can print PC fonts including foreign languages, no dealing with tiny screen and keyboard) for a low price (was ~$16 on Amazon). Brother's PC-compatible models are closer to $50.
