I have had several racing rigs and have had to downsize over the years due to baby and smaller place. I sold my last Playseat (2nd one) and generally the brand has decent quality and design. I was considering the Wheelstand Pro until I notice this is only about $27 more from B&H (usually no tax for most) and in-stock.

It's well reviewed by the Inside SIM Racing guys and if you are in need of a universal "cockpit" setup that's complete, this is a good rig. Now this may be where the, "I can put together for $60 Home Depot parts..." and while that's great, I have a wife and baby in less than 1500 sq ft home full of baby stuff not to mention the only 4K HDR TV is in the living room where the PS4 Pro is setup (I normally play most game remotely with Xperia phone, but can't do that for GT Sport).

Practically Smilie but look at the reviews. I dismissed it during my initial search but after seeing about 4 YouTube videos, it seems to do the job well enough for the price and portability. Take a look at the Inside SIM Racing vid (long).

I have the playseat challenge and was cross-shopping it with the evolution/revolution back in April 2017. I went for the challenge as it is cheaper and foldable. You could easily store it in a closet even with the wheel attached.

That said, this deal price doesn't seem to be anything special. The MSRP seems to be $229.99, and Microcenter currently has it for $199.99. [microcenter.com]

I have one of these. Fry's had it for sale via promo code last year for somewhere around $130 (Can't recall the exact price.)

It is very comfortable and works quite well with my G27 rig when I use it. The only issue is that it doesn't have a shifter mount, but one can be purchased from their website if you want it.

I've owned the original Playseat, Evo, and have GTR cockpit right now but I needed something small that can be setup in living room for quick plays and put away since the 4K HDR TV is in the living room. That said, gaming rig or cockpit prices can fluctuate. I got my Playseat Evo from Amazon new shipped before there was sales tax for $280.......but it was never that price again. Prices tend to go up or stock depletes around time of major racing game releases (Gran Turismo or Forza). This deal is accessible for everyone at a very good price w/o sales tax for most if you're planning to pick up the Thrustmaster T300RS deal going on right now for $300 and Gran Turismo Sport tomorrow.

Just bought one from Micro Center for $199. Ok price from BH if you're outside NY and NJ since no tax. This Playseat is highly praised from all reviews for the compact and convenient form factor.

Just returned a Thrustmaster T150 and bought a Logitech G29. I'm ready for Gran Turismo Sport, along with Forza 7 on my PC. Will probably pickup Project Cars 2as well.

G29 is $299 with a free shifter thrown in at Best Buy this week for those interested. Don't know about the T300 but the G29 is far superior to the T150, though I really didn't want to spend $300 on it being my first wheel.. After I got a little taste of force feedback wheel with the T150 for a week, there's no going back.

Been using this for awhile and I'm very happy with it, though I think it should be closer to $150 MSRP. There's not much too it and the main clamp that holds the wheel base plate in place is made of plastic with plastic teeth which is disappointing. I feel that will surely be a point of failure in the future. Also the pedals are held in place with a velcro strap that you'll most likely end up readjusting often as it doesn't like to stay tight. That's not an issue in use only when folding it up so it's not a deal breaker.

I would like to see them take this concept and do a version 2 that's a little more robust with metal clamps and a simple pedal mount instead of a velcro strap.

Otherwise it folds up nicely, is comfortable if you aren't too wide, and is more adjustable than I expected. It ended up fitting perfectly in front of the tv and is also the perfect height as well. I'm glad I went with this over a wheel stand.

Grab the T300RS GT deal for $300 instead. It lacks the shifter but is a much better wheel overall.

Can anyone confirm the 6spd from the G27 will mount to this? I don't see a shifter mount.

Oh my gosh! I was literally looking for one last night for my SO's anniversary gift. $250+shipping was the best I could find so this pretty decent deal for me. $130 at Fry's is nuts! Wish I knew about that deal then.

A lot of people say it's a glorified lawn chair but I've read some pretty great reviews from people who like the portability and the stability of it. Looks like other SDers agree. It's great if you move a lot/live in a small apartment.

Yay glorified lawn chair!! Thanks so much OP!!

I got this almost 4 years ago for $199 from Toys R Us. Great seat, would highly recommend it. I'm 6'2" 185 lbs and find it very comfortable. I use it with the Thrustmaster TX, Th8a Shifter, and T3PA pedals. I was able to attach the shifter at the perfect spot with some hard cardboard and a zip tie. Still folds up without having to move the shifter and it feels really solid, no wiggle when playing
