Edit: Target ones now expired, but Walmart still has the E4 for $39.88 if available in your area.

In-store only, Target offers the Verizon Moto E4 for $39.99:
https://www.target.com/p/verizon-...A-52597812 - Expired

and the Verizon Moto E4 Plus for $99.99:
https://www.target.com/p/verizon-...A-52597567 - Expired
(Discover Card holders get an additional 5% cash back at Target, if activated)

Walmart charges the same for the E4, if it's in stock:
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Verizo.../953073971
(Chase Freedom credit card holders get an additional 5% cash back at Walmart, if activated)

Supplies vary depending on the store. Both phones can apparently be unlocked on ebay for $2.09, e.g. at:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Unlock-Co...2184892835

Edit: Target offers a 30 days return policy on the phone, even if used (but check with your local store).

Note that Discover Card holders get an additional 5% cash back bonus on Target purchases (needs to be activated, see https://www.discover.com/credit-c...endar.html)

Adding phone details from thread:

E4 vs E4 Plus differences
========================
1. 5" vs 5.5"
2. 8mp rear vs 13mp rear; both have 5mp front camera
3. 2800mA removable battery vs 5000mA non-removable battery
4. The Plus supports more bands

Both have: 720p resolution, 16GB onboard storage, 2GB of RAM, microSD slot, Snapdragon 425 Quad-Core processor, Android 7.1 (Nougat), fingerprint sensor.

I know the E4 can be unlocked thanks to the original Walmart E4 thread.
Is the E4 plus just as easy to unlock?

There was a similar deal in August (https://slickdeals.net/f/10503220-motorola-moto-e4-verizon-for-39-99-target-b-m-ymmv?v=1), and it looks like it works (not sure about the overseas part though, maybe check the Walmart thread for their previous promotion on this phone).

Same here, my Nexus 5x died randomly (infinite boot loop, just like my previous Nexus, so no more LG made phones for me). This is how I stumbled upon the Target offer.

At least according to the ebay vendor, yes. But would be nice to have it confirmed by someone who actually did it.

Does it work on pageplus? People said yes and others said it won't work because it's similar to post paid. I would like a definite yes.

Seems like decent deal as long as you never expect to need root. With the bootloader locked down tight by both verizon AND moto (moto did the same thing with the moto e series both verizon and not) you can pretty much kiss root and twrp backup goodbye.

I am curious if unlocked how it would handle on T-mobile regarding the lte and broadcast bands it supports.

Is there much difference between the E4 and E4 Plus to warrant the $60 price difference?
