Edit: Target ones now expired, but Walmart still has the E4 for $39.88 if available in your area.

In-store only, Target offers the Verizon Moto E4 for $39.99:
https://www.target.com/p/verizon-...A-52597812 - Expired

and the Verizon Moto E4 Plus for $99.99:
https://www.target.com/p/verizon-...A-52597567 - Expired
(Discover Card holders get an additional 5% cash back at Target, if activated)

Walmart charges the same for the E4, if it's in stock:
https://www.walmart.com/ip/Verizo.../953073971
(Chase Freedom credit card holders get an additional 5% cash back at Walmart, if activated)

Supplies vary depending on the store. Both phones can apparently be unlocked on ebay for $2.09, e.g. at:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Unlock-Co...2184892835

Edit: Target offers a 30 days return policy on the phone, even if used (but check with your local store).

Note that Discover Card holders get an additional 5% cash back bonus on Target purchases (needs to be activated, see https://www.discover.com/credit-c...endar.html)

Adding phone details from thread:

just ordered one at walmart. hopefully can unlock and use the phone with sprint !
It is kind of funny, you pick the one carrier out of all the carriers that you can't use this Verizon E4 on?

you are joking, right? For comic relief in this thread, right? If not, look at the wiki post in the Walmart thread, and it starts off with "This model can NOT be used on Sprint."

I noticed this thread doesn't have very informative wiki yet, so pop on over the the Walmart verizon E4 thread and read the wiki, then you can decide if this would work for you for the carrier you are going to use it with.

The ones from Target do end in PP, and they unlock fine using the link shared in earlier posts
Yes, I now see mine ends in PP as stated on the packaging. However in About Phone in Settings, under SKU, it is listed without the PP.

I wonder why that seller made that disclaimer. I definitely would not have bought his product if I'd seen it in time. I already asked for a cancellation, so I'll wait a couple days for either the code or cancellation to come and go for there.

Repped for the reply

Edit: Just checked my messages and they did cancel my order. Guess I'll be ordering a different one LOL

2nd edit: Ordered from a different seller who asked for my IMEI number (the original seller did not). This makes more sense to me

I linked the wiki in the posting, so I don't think there is any reason to overlook it.

Mine works with Sprint too. What I did was unlock this VZW PP phone, sold it, then used the proceeds to buy the factory unlocked version. Works with Sprint and Verizon great!

Repped in return. Thanks
I do like the phone as a backup phone. I put my previous backup, and Alacatel Ideal on CL and Offerup for sale. Hell, I only paid $10 for it on a SD and unlocked it free thru the ATT site. Other unlocked ones are asking $40 (and more) on Offerup and ebay, so I put a price of $25 of it.

I'm currently looking for a case that is cheap yet a little better than the standard $1 silicone cases. I found this one. It says European version, but I think that has more to do with Bands than exterior design. and it looks just like my phone.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/European...djMLIQfyRw

Other ones on ebay have a cutout on the rear for a speaker, which my phone does not have. I wish it did since so far the exterior speaker sounds extremely weak. Actually, someone earlier noted than their E4 speakerphone was superior to one on their Galaxy S4, which I find hard to believe. I have yet to hear the speakerphone since it is not yet unlocked, but I played some music and frankly it's one of the weakest speakerphones I've ever heard.

Would it make too much sense to add the wiki link from that thread to the wiki page here?
* I know it's on the OP post, but people get used to looking at the wiki.

The speaker could be better but then I wasn't expecting much at $40.

You might want to check that the case link you posted has microphone cutout at the back that this phone has.

I am planning to use it without a case though.

The OP said he has put a link to that Walmart E4 Verizon thread in the Wiki in this thread, so OP is on top of it.

There are lots of good info in the 400,000 viewed Walmart Thread, but I can understand why some people might like weekly update of other places selling same Verizon E4 too. But over the months, most people gather in the HUGE thread to get up to date info, and centralized place for all of us to hang out.

The Euro version cases w/rear speaker cut out won't fit/align with the US version. Saw this somewhere on the web. Will add link here if I can refind it.

First things first, the Moto E4 comes in two different versions. One for the United States and another for international markets. Make sure the case you buy fits the model you have. The U.S. Moto E4 does NOT have a speaker on the back and is thinner than the international model. If the case has a rear speaker cutout, it won't fit.

https://www.gottabemobile.com/bes...-e4-cases/
The international Moto E4 is also slightly thicker than the U.S. variant, so even if you can overcome the incorrect placement of the headphone jack and microphones, the phones themselves likely won't fit properly in their opposing cases.

I thought that at first also (re the rear speaker cutout), then saw many others listed on ebay that had the cutout but no mention of it being Euro. Then I googled what the difference is between the US and Euro versions. All that was mentioned was the bands. Also, the one the ebayer was calling European does not seem to have that rear cutout. Here it is again. The description says the pictures are of the actual products:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/European...djMLIQfyRw

But I will be careful. Thanks for the heads up. Repped

I am using this phone right now, bought in Walmart to replace my dying lg g4, it is probably the best $40 I have ever spent; phone is very smooth and the battery life is super good.

Yes, I'm not expecting much in the way of a speaker at this pricepoint either. I was just surprised at the other SDer saying it is superior to his Galaxy S4, a former flagship phone.
Maybe he has one of the E4s that has the speaker on the rear, which may be superior as it looks larger. As far as i can tell, the only speaker on mine is located in the same place as the earpiece, at the top of the phone in the front. It isn't even mentioned in the diagram that comes in the phones instruction book -- check it out.

My phone's mic is at the bottom of the phone, to the right of the charging port as you look at the front of the phone.. Isn't yours? The only things on the back of my phone are the camera and an unidentified pin hole that is northwest of the camera.
