Maybe it's too much to ask but I'd like to see at least 32gb and/or 512gb at this price (+tax).

I am getting it for $1232 with my student ID.me, however i already have an Acer 32GB Ram I7700, GTX 1070 costco rig which i purchased a month ago. Debating if i should purchase this and return the one i have. Any suggestions?

If your current desktop games fine or works well for it's purpose, then I wouldn't step up until you need up. Your rig sounds good as it is. Even though this rig is better. Time and effort is worth money too.

For pure gaming, this way better deal. i7-7700K + 1080 will literally fly for any games you throw on it. But if you want the desktop mainly for productivity like editing, video encoding, streaming game play while gaming, 1700 is a better option.

I think he means the locked i7 7700 processor not the Ryzen 1700.

Ya, saw that now. Then this is a better deal for a gaming desktop. That 32GB Ram is not going to provide any real world benefit unless you are planning to run VM Ware on it.

Can someone do a partpicker on this? Also, anyone know what states lenovo charges tax?

Edit: think they charge tax in all states. It may not kill the deal for me but it makes this a tougher decision

16gb is enough for everything by cad or video editing. The 1080 is a lot better than the 1070 if the price differance is less than 15o bucks go for this with the 1080. My advice.
