Should I be worried about using a $12 mount to hold up a $900 65" TV

This mount looks identical to the one I got at harbor freight. As long as you install it into a stud you will have zero issue. I have my spanning 2 studs and it's rock solid.

If your asking, you're already worried, spend the extra bucks on something decent, besides, no tilt, no swivel , no deal.

should be okay if you hit studs dead center. Getting that 12v makita drill driver combo years ago paid off just for mounting tvs. I also usually buy articulating arms, this one was very popular at amazon for $23 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00393KNVQ/
I"m getting a Vizio P65 delivered soon so might reusing that one but kinda pushing my luck. It's rated at 88lbs and the P65 is around 66lbs. No need to buy a giant tv stand and it helps with narrower IPS viewing angels and bright window reflections.

This is a Liger mount = half Lion + half Tiger. A magical creature from the land of dynamite. Don't be scared of the Liger mount.

Haha. "Tilt". Didn't look like it tilted so I checked the specs and this is what it said:

"Tilt: 0 Degree"

That made me LOL. But I guess it will tilt just before it falls off your wall.

Yes, but it will probably be ok if you use at least 4 large fasteners, dead center into studs. Most stud finders nowadays suck (unless you get a $50+ one) but they will get you within a half inch or so of your target. For TVs, I don't play around. I get my smallest drill bit or a thin nail and probe the sheet rock to confirm the exact edges of the studs, then patch the small holes before hanging the mount.
