Update on Warranty:

Period begins at date of purchase - not when you receive the item.

Per CPO Outlets: 60 day money back guarantee. Return shipping payment depends on the return reason. i.e. faulty, broken, changed mind

Per Dewalt: 1 year full warranty covers normal wear and tear.

3 year limited warranty will repair, without charge, any defects due to faulty materials or workmanship.

The determination is made by the DeWalt service center.

I did make it clear that I am asking about reconditioned items, specifically, this model. Unless the rep on the line wasn't looking at the guidelines for reconditioned items, this sounds solid.

That is only $100 less than a brand spanking new one at Home Depot. http://www.homedepot.com/p/DEWALT.../204511988

Edit: Many of you can also get the 11% rebate from HD for another $42 off: https://www.homedepotrebates11percent.com/#/home

Weird, CPO faq says full factory warranty on reconditioned tools (same as New) but product page says most reconditioned tools come with one year limited warranty. Wonder which it is for this item because I believe new is 3 year limited warranty.

Maybe the one year is a DeWalt warranty while the full warranty is by CPO contracted warranty centers.

Their 3 year is "Limited" to almost nothing. You'll never get any service through Dewalt past their 1 year full warranty. I've dealt with them many times.

The new one @ $380 is 36% more without the rebate and 21% more with the rebate if you meet the criteria.

I would like to know from the expert, Good deal or should i wait until black Friday?

I am getting either Dewalt DWE7480 or Bosch GTS1031. I am hoping the price of either one will be around $250

I completely agree from experience myself but is anybody "limited warranty" any good?

Or, the used one is 25% off the regular price of a new one from Home Depot, only 17% less after rebate. For that small of a price difference, many people might want the new one with the full warranty.

I say wait, but you'll be lucky to get it that low. I was looking at those models. The Dewalt has a better fence than most, was $338 last BF. Sears had it for $305 earlier this year.

But now I have my eye on the Skilsaw SPT70WT. Can clear a 4x4 (3.5") without flipping, totally worth it for a project I'm doing with cedar posts. And everyone raves about the worm drive power.

Tommy: Here's the way I see it, Ted. Guy puts a fancy guarantee on a box 'cause he wants you to fell all warm and toasty inside.
Ted Nelson: Yeah, makes a man feel good.
Tommy: 'Course it does. Why shouldn't it? Ya figure you put that little box under your pillow at night, the Guarantee Fairy might come by and leave a quarter, am I right, Ted?
Ted Nelson: What's your point?
Tommy: The point is, how do you know the fairy isn't a crazy glue sniffer? "Building model airplanes" says the little fairy, well, we're not buying it. He sneaks into your house once, that's all it takes. The next thing you know, there's money missing off the dresser and your daughter's knocked up, I seen it a hundred times.
Ted Nelson: But why do they put a guarantee on the box?
Tommy: Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of shit. That's all it is, isn't it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your customer's sake, for your daughter's sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me.

If you're not critical about it being 10", you might want to look into getting the 60v max table saw from HD. Last time I checked in the past week or so it was still clearanced at $350, and Dewalt's free 60v battery with tool purchase promotion might still be active.

If only it would show up in any stores near me. The one that had two had them at full price. A week later they were gone, so I assume that they went on sale and someone grabbed them.
