I could get the Dell Inspiron 2 in 1 (i5-8250u) and UE Wonderboom for $520 after AMEX offer (so I would essentially be getting the i5 version for $470). Think I should bite or wait until BF/other deals?

Can you share more details on how to get i5-8250u for $470?

I'm interested in the i7/8550U with 512GB SSD, however. It comes with 12GB of RAM which is probably more than I will need. With 10% coupon, AMEX bill credit, and adding tax ($55.47) this one comes to $705.16. I'm in for one.

Based on my search on the Dell Community Forum, it appears the SSD is an m.2 format. I assume it is SATA III and not NVME. Anybody know for sure?

Edit: Nope, according to the service manual, the HD is a 2.5" Sata drive. However, there is an m.2 slot used for the wifi/bluetooth combo card.

Yeah. I posted that too. SD pulled it because I told people to use major cashback store for the purchase. Did some research, SD is not a non profit lol, they shut up their competitors just like any other corporation.

Watch me get banned for this lmao

Specs look good for this price point, but the real question is how's the build quality? Are these reliable machines?

Been in need of a replacement dell for a while, but can't find one to meet even basic keyboard and touchpad layout requirements. Haven't looked seriously in a while - is this new integrated touchpad now the "standard", where the buttons are embedded in the corners? Absolutely can't stand that setup.

$520 for laptop + $50 ue wonderboom + tax = $620. $620 - $100 Amex credit = $520. And the wonderboom was $50 so laptop price was $470
