I just read through several pages of comments on a Best Buy TCL 55" TV. Apparently Costco has that TV 55C803 for comparable price.

How does this a Phillips set compare?

This tv was talked about in that thread, they seemed to prefer the tcl, I got the tcl about a month ago during a walmart one day sale for $249 (they sold 300 units), so it might be a walmart black friday item.

Actually it would be <$250. I agree with that poster, this would be a good deal for around $250 and up to $300. Not sure if this is currently their sale price or clearance item (seems to be the former), There were many $300 and below TVs on ymmv clearance deals at Walmart, all ranging from 50" - 55", 1080p to 4K, with or without smart features, over the past year. $400 for this type of TV is not slick at all relative to those ymmv deals.

I have the 55" 4K Philips from last Black Friday. Honestly, it's not that bad. I currently have a Samsung 70" 4K HDR and I really don't see a huuuuge difference aside from the size. Granted, I mostly use them for gaming and very little else. Last TV that blew me away (at the time and for the money) was my old 42" Panasonic X series 720p panel.
