Decent deal if you don't need the dimmer switches.

In and out of stock so keep checking back. Once the link doesn't take you to the listing is when I would say it is officially dead (ie. item removed from eBay).

Not a bad deal. Cheapest I've seen for new is just under $30. Refurbished at $25 isn't bad. I've been very happy with the ones I have installed in my house.

When these sell out, I have 3 I got from the last deal about 1 month ago. You can have all 3 for $60 shipped. Switch plus wall plate and screw nuts.

You are right. Grabbed the wrong thread. Here is the light switch for $14.99 thread.

Does this use normal Wifi WPA2(?), If so, probably didn't have the patch that fix this KRACK Wi-Fi vulnerability which can easily be decrypt traffic, hijack connections, etc

Meh, I like how these switches looks but they're far from decent in terms of functionality. First they are not dimmer supported second they don't do 3 or 4 way, third they can only be controlled by their stupid sloppily written app.

Read the paper. You will understand the detail.

Basucally you need targeted wifi device and emulated ap too to takeover connection of targeted device and make emulated ap as a middle man .

Speaking on functionality..
Wemo is upnp. Many opensource can control wemo.
Echo and google home can control locally with upnp pull request.
You do not need wemo apps at all. Well... one time when pairing to wifi.

I never use wemo apps att all. Home assistant and alexa control all my wemo.

Got a WeMo light switch last year for a weird light in my house. I live WAY out in the woods and my bedroom looks out over the part of the yard that has the basement walk-out. Oddly, the switch for the flood light for this is in basement and nowhere else. In order to see outside at night from the second floor, I needed a solution to turn the light on remotely. Enter my WeMo.

Now, installation wasn't terrible, but it did take some testing. I got it to work on the second try. It works, but not awesome. The app is kinda slow to load, but more annoyingly, there is a few second delay from when I click the button to when the light turns off and on. Strong Wi-Fi for both ends...it's just a bit tardy to execute.

Biggest annoyance was when I changed my SSID on the Wi-Fi. That messed everything up. I've tried resetting it and it connects, but no longer works via the app. I haven't fully factory reset the WeMo unit, but that is next.

Bottomline: I'd do some more research before committing to WeMo. It works, but for $25+ per switch, I expected more.

Good luck!!!
