So is Duluth better or ExOfficio, considering the sale Cabela's had yesterday? $70 for 3 Duluth boxers seems ridiculous when $50 got me 5 ExOfficio.

I got 4 for 67 shipped. Never used these before but with all the hype that you feel not wearing anything, I wanted to try. They have a good return policy if they don't come upto expectations.

I posted this before, back in 2016. Although, now some are saying the quality of Exofficio has fallen off. I haven't purchased any since 2015, so I can't say for sure.

I have tried these and the Exofficio. I prefer the Exofficio. The differences are in the waist band. The Duluth waist band is wider, probably an inch and quarter vs Exofficio inch or a little less. The Exofficio waist band "hides" better under your pants/jeans. This is all minor though. The biggest issue is the stiching used to attach the waist band to the boxer briefs/shorts is very substantial on the Duluth. I found it dug into my waist and left indentions in the skin after wearing all day. I do not experience this with the Exofficio. In fact if you have the opportunity to see both side by side, you will see the difference in the waist band stitching.

I have Exofficio pairs that are three years old and some that are less than a year. Both are holding up well. I have no doubt the Duluth would provide the same longevity. These seem like minor gripes, but when you're spending $12-16 on a single pair of draws, criticism becomes more critical.

As far as Exofficio goes, stick with Amazon or other stores like REI. Wait for a sale and get them for $14ish. The "2nds" from Sierra Trading Post are garbage. The cut is wrong and the material they are made from does not hold up well. The "Closeouts" from Sierra Trading Post are good though. My experience has been that the 2nds did not meet quality control standards and the closeouts are, well, closeout/discountinued styles.

EDIT: Like King0fSpades said, Duluth has a great return policy. Cabela's will only warranty their brand of clothes. I think other brands fall under their normal return policy.

Never did get to try the ExOfficio, but thanks for the heads up regarding 2nds slickosaurus.

That being said, I have several of the Buck Naked boxer briefs in both regular and long, Free Range boxer briefs in regular and Armachillo in long. If you're tall (I'm 6'2"+) I definitely recommend getting the long version. They stay put, don't ride up and are very comfortable. The Buck Naked are great for every day use, Free Range probably better for colder weather and Armachillo needless to say are ideal for summer. Wait for the right sale and load up. Great underwear IMO
